Stacey Barnier

Stacey Barnier, SHRM-SCP, has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in human resources. Stacey is currently the Director of Human Resources and Risk Management at SBCERA since May 2019. In addition, they are an Adjunct Professor in Human Resources at Santiago Canyon College since August 2020.

Previously, Stacey worked at CSUSB from August 2016 to April 2019, where they held the positions of Director of Human Resources and Employee & Labor Relations Manager. In these roles, they managed various aspects of HR including recruitment, employee relations, benefits, and retirement. Stacey also provided guidance on labor relations and collective bargaining agreements.

Before CSUSB, Stacey worked as a Human Resources Analyst at the City of Corona from November 2011 to November 2014. Their responsibilities included policy interpretation, employee investigations, recruitment, and leave administration.

Prior to that, they held roles at the City of Newport Beach, San Bernardino Community College District, La Puente Valley ROP, Lucille's Smokehouse Bar-B-Que, FRANK S. SMITH MASONRY, INC., and Elephant Bar Restaurants, where they gained experience in training, HR coordination, and employee development.

Stacey Barnier, SHRM-SCP, has an extensive education history. Stacey obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management & Human Resources from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, which they completed from 2000 to 2006.

Continuing their education, Stacey went on to earn their Master of Arts (M.A.) - ABT degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Leadership & Change Management from National University. Stacey attended National University from 2009 to 2012.

Stacey's educational journey furthered with their pursuit of a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) degree with a focus on Leadership from California State University-San Bernardino. Stacey completed their M.P.A. from 2015 to 2018.

In addition to their academic achievements, Stacey Barnier holds several certifications. Stacey obtained the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification from SHRM in December 2019. Stacey also holds the Getting Talent Back to Work Certificate from SHRM, which they obtained in December 2022.

Furthermore, Stacey obtained the Employing Abilities @Work certification from the SHRM Foundation in August 2020, the Veteran's at Work certification in March 2019, the Mental Health First Aid certification from the National Council for Behavioral Health in July 2017, and the Behavioral Threat Assessment & Management certification from Total Safety Solutions in January 2017.
