Jesus Rivas

Jesus Rivas is an experienced research professional currently serving as the Associate Dean of Research, Planning, and Innovation at the San Diego Community College District since November 2018. In this role, Jesus leads the institution's research operations, overseeing a team of five researchers and significantly increasing the department's data and research output. Previous positions include Associate Quantitative Analyst at Culturati Research & Consulting, Inc., where Jesus supported various research market studies, and Head of Department for Statistics at the National Institute of Statistics and Geography of Mexico, managing relationships with over 60 government agencies and supervising extensive data product development. Jesus holds a Master of Science in Data Science from Universidad Cuauhtémoc and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Universidad Autónoma de Baja California.
