Monica Cueva

Monica Cueva serves as the ESL Technology Coordinator at San Diego Community College District, where responsibilities include training faculty in technology integration for various teaching formats and organizing mentoring for ESL instructors. With extensive experience as ESL Contract Faculty, Monica has developed and taught curriculum utilizing open educational resources, including pioneering hybrid courses. Contributions to curriculum development encompass creating animated video tutorials for beginner ESL students and interactive online materials for advanced courses. Prior roles at Mt. San Antonio College involved leading research projects on language retention and student motivation, as well as initiating tutoring programs. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Education with a focus on TESOL from California State University, Fullerton, and a Bachelor’s degree from California State University, Chico.
