Amanda Perez currently serves as a Deputy District Attorney for San Joaquin County since August 2021, following their role as a Post-Bar Law Clerk. Amanda has gained extensive legal experience through various positions, including Law Clerk at the Law Office of Kira West and legal internships at the Montgomery County State's Attorney's Office and the Office of the Commonwealth's Attorney in Fairfax County, VA. Amanda is a J.D. candidate at American University Washington College of Law, where involvement with the American University Journal of Gender, Social Policy & the Law includes serving as a Junior Staffer since April 2019. In addition to legal roles, Amanda has experience in education as an Early Childhood Education Program Associate at National Presbyterian School and in the hospitality industry as a server at Village Idiot. Academically, Amanda holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of South Carolina and has pursued study abroad at the University of Strathclyde.
