Usama Georges

Usama Georges has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations. Usama began their career at Micron Technology as a Senior Technical Advisor from 1997 to 2000. From 2000 to 2005, they served as the Dean of Academics at Foundation College. Following this, they worked as an Adjunct Faculty at several institutions including Cuyamaca College, ITT Technical Institute, and Grossmont College, where they taught various classes on server management and advanced scripting. From 2005 to 2013, Usama was the Director of Information Technology at Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute, responsible for overseeing the organization's IT infrastructure and providing guidance on telecommunications and infrastructure services. Finally, since 2013, Usama has served as the Chief Information Officer at San Diego County, where they manage the IT division and is a member of the District Attorney's Executive Team.

Usama Georges has a diverse education history spanning several institutions. In 1973, they attended Baghdad College, where they obtained a Baccalaureat degree between 1973 and 1978. Following this, they pursued higher education at the University of Surrey from 1980 to 1983, focusing on Telecommunications. In 1983 and 1984, Usama attended the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst to enhance their management and leadership skills. Following their time there, they enrolled at Baghdad University from 1989 to 1993, earning a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Engineering. In 1997, they attended Coleman University, obtaining a Master of Science (MS) degree in Information Technology, which they completed in 2000. Lastly, in 2015 and 2016, they pursued a Certificate in Executive Leadership at Cornell University.
