Music Watson

Music Watson, APR, currently serves as Chief Of Staff at the San Diego County Office of Education, where responsibilities include liaising with school districts and community groups, leading key initiatives, and co-leading the Strategic Leadership Team. Watson holds the position of Vice President of Diversity Engagement on the Executive Board of the National School Public Relations Association, advocating for equity and inclusion and facilitating training on cultural competency. Previous roles include President of the California School Public Relations Association and Director of Strategic Communications for the California Charter Schools Association, where Watson significantly increased social media engagement. Watson's background includes positions in marketing and public affairs with the American Red Cross and the City of San Diego, as well as media relations experience with the San Diego Unified School District and Disneyland Resort. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Latin American Studies from San Diego State University and a Bachelor's degree in Government and Spanish from Claremont McKenna College.
