Stacy Brandt, APR, has extensive experience in communications, currently serving as a Communications Strategist at the San Diego County Office of Education since May 2013, where oversight of internal communication and employee engagement efforts is a key responsibility, along with serving as backup chief communications and public information officer. Prior roles include Communications Consultant and Freelance Writer for clients such as Vista Unified School District, and a Senior Reporter at The San Diego Union-Tribune, covering local governance and education. Brandt has also worked as an Education Reporter for North County Times and began a journalism career as a reporter at Mohave Valley Daily News. Education credentials include a B.A. in Journalism from San Diego State University and an AA in General Studies from Ventura College.
