Omar Zevallos

Omar Zevallos, P.E. is a seasoned professional in network and cybersecurity technology, currently serving as the Director of Enterprise Cybersecurity Technology at San Diego Gas & Electric since June 2006. Throughout a distinguished career at the company, Omar has held various leadership positions, overseeing significant technology programs with investments totaling approximately $200 million, and managing critical aspects of IT, OT, and datacenter network technologies. Omar's expertise includes developing IT operations technology strategies and leading engineering teams to enhance communications and control systems across a vast service territory comprising numerous substations, SCADA sites, and power plants. Prior experience includes roles with the US Navy as a Gas Turbine Technician and contributions as an Electrical Engineer. Omar holds a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Norwich University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from San Diego State University. Notably, Omar successfully led a NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection audit with no findings.
