Casey Snell

VP, Administration of Homelesness Initiatives at San Diego Housing Commission

Casey Snell oversees the administration of the San Diego Housing Commission’s (SDHC) homelessness initiatives, such as City of San Diego Homelessness Shelters and Services Programs, which SDHC administers through a Memorandum of Understanding with the City.

Ms. Snell joined SDHC in 2019 as Director of Housing First Administration. She has overseen a portfolio of more than 50 homelessness programs, including permanent supportive housing, rapid rehousing, and emergency, interim, transitional and bridge shelters.

Her previous experience includes serving as Director of Housing Services at Interfaith Community Services in Escondido, where she managed nearly two dozen housing contracts in North County, and as Director of Operations and Community Engagement at Catholic Charities with the Diocese of San Diego.

Ms. Snell also served as Chair of the Bridge to Housing Network of the Alliance for Regional Solutions.

She has a bachelor’s degree in international affairs and political science with a minor in economics from the University of Maine and a master’s degree in nonprofit leadership and management from the University of San Diego (USD).
