Christelle Van Der Windt

VP, Financial Operations at San Diego Housing Commission

Christelle Van Der Windt oversees the operations of the San Diego Housing Commission’s (SDHC) Financial Services Division, including SDHC’s annual budget of approximately $600 million and the preparation and audit of financial statements.

She has held several positions at SDHC since joining the agency in 2016, including Finance Director and Finance Manager for Grants and Reporting.

Before joining SDHC, Ms. Van Der Windt served as Accounting Manager for the City and County of Denver in Colorado. Her previous experience also includes serving as a Senior Auditor for a large public accounting firm, BKD, LLP in Colorado Springs and as a Bookkeeper and Accountant at Ramon Bookkeeping Services.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Fort Lewis College in Colorado, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2010, and an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license since 2012.
