David Kunnen is an accomplished financial executive with extensive experience in operations and financial management. Currently serving as the VP for Operations & Chief Financial Officer at the Virginia Museum of History & Culture since January 2022, David previously held the position of Director of Finance at the Red Gates Foundation from December 2020 to January 2022. Prior to that, David worked as an Analyst at CCA Industries, Inc. and as a Senior University Gift Officer at Virginia Commonwealth University. David's career includes leadership roles as Executive Director at Blue Sky Fund and Senior Director of Operations at the American Heart Association, among others at the YMCA of Greater Richmond, where a variety of positions were held over a decade. David began a professional career as a Tax Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers after earning a Master's degree in Accounting with a Tax Concentration and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, both from Virginia Tech.
