Susie Cawood

Susie Cawood has over 17 years of experience in various marketing and communications roles. Susie currently serves as the Director of Communications and Creative Services at the San Diego Housing Commission, where they lead a team in creating visual displays and managing internal and external communications. Prior to this, they worked at Microsoft as the Community Development Lead for the Southwest Market, responsible for managing event teams and implementing corporate initiatives. Susie also served as the Director of Marketing at Westfield, where they developed marketing plans, created retailer-focused events, and managed customer service. Susie's earlier experience includes roles at Radio Disney and the National Basketball Association (NBA) in event coordination and sales. Susie began their career as a Promotions Assistant at 106.1 KISS-FM, where they supervised onsite events and provided administrative support.

Susie Cawood completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communications from the University of Washington in 2003. In 2017, they obtained a certification as a Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE) from Microsoft.
