Jessica Cortez

Jessica Cortez is a teaching artist at San Diego Opera. Jessica has also worked as a community engagement assistant at Mo'olelo Performing Arts Company, a tutor at Barrio Logan College Institute, and a student worker at the University of San Diego School of Law.

Jessica Cortez has always had a passion for art and education. Jessica grew up in San Diego and attended the University of San Diego School of Law. After working as a student worker at the school, they decided to pursue a career in teaching and arts administration. Jessica has worked as a tutor and community engagement assistant, and is currently a teaching artist at the San Diego Opera. Jessica Cortez is dedicated to their work and loves bringing the arts to their students.

Jessica Cortez has a Bachelor of Arts in Ethnic Studies and Theatre Arts from the University of San Diego.

They are on a team with Eduardo Ruiz - Teaching Artist, Shayla James - Teaching Artist, and Cuez G. Rodriguez - Teaching Artist. Their manager is John Gabriel, Education Director.
