San Diego Sockers

The San Diego Sockers are the proudest franchise in Professional Indoor Soccer history, having won 14 National Championships. Sockers are also the most successful professional sports franchise in North American soccer history, and record holder for longest winning streak in professional sports (48 games). Company History: From 1978-1998, the San Diego Sockers won 10 Indoor Soccer League Championships (1981-1985, 1987-1991). After a five year hiatus from 2003-2008, the Sockers returned to indoor arena action to claim the 2009 Premier Arena Soccer League National Championship. Sockers went on to win four straight Indoor Soccer Championships, set a record for most competitive wins in professional sports (48) and continued as San Diego's only championship winning professional sports franchise. The San Diego Sockers currently compete in the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL). The home field is currently based at the Valley View Casino Center, formerly known as the "San Diego Sports Arena."
