Michelle Nguyen

Michelle Nguyen currently serves as a Graduate Student Teaching Assistant at San Diego State University, teaching introductory and organic chemistry to undergraduates since August 2021. Prior to this role, Michelle held the position of Scientist II R&D at Eurofins DiscoverX from May 2022 to November 2023, focusing on assay design for target protein degradation and contributing to scientific writing and presentations. Michelle’s experience also includes working as a Manufacturing Associate at Amgen, where training encompassed upstream and downstream processes, including large-scale protein purification, and project layout creation for bioreactors. Earlier work as a Bioprocessing Intern at Keck Graduate Institute and as a Quality Control Technician at Ameditech, Inc. complements a solid foundation in laboratory and manufacturing operations. Michelle holds a Bachelor of Science in Organic Chemistry from California State University Channel Islands and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Organic Chemistry at San Diego State University.
