Lorena Ford

Lorena Ford is a dedicated student engaged in multiple roles focused on political science and student engagement. Currently, as a Student Engagement Intern for the Secondary Office at the San Diego Unified School District since August 2022 and a Research Assistant under Dr. Cheryl O'Brien at San Diego State University since July 2023, Lorena contributes to research on "Faith and Feminism" while performing tasks in both English and Spanish. Additional experience includes serving as Deputy Vice President of Membership for the California College Democrats, a Junior Staff Assistant for Congresswoman Sara Jacobs, and a Panetta Congressional Intern for the same congresswoman. Lorena previously held the position of Vice President on the Student Advisory Board at the San Diego Unified School District from 2021-2022 and contributed to the Recruitment Team. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Political Science with minors in Spanish, Honors, and Interdisciplinary Studies at San Diego State University, Lorena will further enrich academic knowledge through studies at Universidad Complutense de Madrid in early 2024.
