Santos Gonzalez Verardo

Santos Gonzalez Verardo is an experienced educational leader currently serving as the Director of Early Childhood Education for the San Diego Unified School District since September 2022. With a background that includes roles as an Instructional Coordinator and as a Consultant and Coach with SGV Consulting since May 2017, Santos has a strong focus on equity-centered decision-making and school improvement. Previously, Santos contributed as a Leadership Coach at the 21st Century California School Leadership Academy, supporting educational leaders in navigating complex challenges. Santos has over two decades of experience with the Chula Vista Elementary School District, having served as an Elementary School Principal, Associate Principal, and Teacher. Educational credentials include a Bachelor's degree from the University of San Diego and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from San Diego State University.
