Jaye Van Kirk has extensive experience in psychology education, leadership, and research, currently serving on the Council of Representatives for the Western Psychological Association since 2000 and as an Advisor/Past National President for Psi Beta National Honor Society for Psychology Students since 1991. Jaye has been a Professor of Psychology at San Diego Mesa College, teaching various courses and fostering students' competitiveness for graduate programs in STEM and behavioral sciences. Additional contributions include volunteer research on primate behavior at San Diego Zoo Global since 2012, serving on a national committee for the APA Board of Educational Affairs, and leading significant NIH-funded projects aimed at mentoring underrepresented groups in biomedical and behavioral sciences. Jaye holds a Master's Degree in Zoology from Miami University/San Diego Zoo Global and has completed extensive coursework towards a psychobiology degree at The Ohio State University.
