Jeannie Chufo

Jeannie Chufo started their work experience in 2001 as an English teacher at La Costa Canyon High School. Jeannie taught high school English courses, including Honors & College Preparatory 9th and A.P. & College Preparatory 12th. In addition to their teaching duties, they also developed online companion courses for AP 12 and served as a Junior Varsity Girls' Lacrosse Coach and Technology Mentor. Additionally, they were the WASC Instruction and Curriculum Chair. In 2002, they joined SDUHSD as a Teacher of English, Creative Writing, and ROP Business Management. Jeannie Chufo pursued their Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Psychology at UC San Diego from 1989 to 1994. During this time, they focused on various fields of study, including concept formation in infancy, developmental issues, gender bias in education, and American literature. Later, from 2000 to 2001, they attended National University where they earned their Master of Education degree in Cross-cultural Teaching and obtained a Single Subject Teaching Credential.
