Matt Ploenzke

Matt Ploenzke is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in research and development within the sports industry. Currently serving as the Director of Research & Development for the San Francisco 49ers since July 2020, Matt has progressed through various roles, including Football Data Scientist and Football Research Analyst. Prior experience includes positions at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where Matt was the Head Research Analyst, and at the University of Minnesota Duluth as a Technology Analyst. Academically, Matt holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Biostatistics from Harvard University and dual Bachelor's degrees in Statistics and Economics from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
