Jennie Scholick

Director of Education & Training at San Francisco Ballet

Jennie Scholick is the current Director of Education & Training at the San Francisco Ballet. Jennie has held this position since March 2016. Prior to that, Jennie was a Teaching Fellow at the University of California, Los Angeles from January 2016 to March 2016, where they taught an undergraduate seminar on 20th century American and European poetry and dance. Jennie was also a Teaching Associate at UCLA from September 2011 to July 2013, where they taught and assistant-taught courses on English and American Literature and Poetry, World Literature, Literary Theory, and Critical Theory to classes of 15+ students. Jennie has incorporated blogging and other media activity into course requirements and activities. Jennie has also guest-lectured on dance history and theory in relation to the history of Western literature (Giselle, The Rite of Spring, Les Noces).

Jennie Scholick has a PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of California, Los Angeles. Jennie also has an A.B. in Comparative Literature, European Cultural Studies, Theater and Dance from Princeton University. Jennie has a High School Diploma from The Branson School.
