Alexis Austin

Alexis joined SFCASA in June of 2022. She is passionate about supporting youth from less-than-ideal backgrounds. Her advocacy for this population began during her undergraduate career at Western Kentucky University. Writing is another passion and acceptance into San Francisco State’s writing program resulted in the move to the Bay Area from Louisville, Kentucky. While studying, she began as an aide and later became a teacher for a program designed to support students with mental health needs and learning disabilities. After an eight-year tenure, she decided to explore avenues outside of the classroom and this decision led her to apply for a position with CASA.
