Doris Fukawa

Doris Fukawa has extensive experience in music education and administration, currently serving as Violin and Chamber Music Faculty and Director of Ensembles in the Preparatory Division at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music since 1983. Previously, Doris held the position of Executive Director at the Crowden Music Center from March 2006 to September 2023. Additionally, Doris contributed as a Music Advisor for the Community of Music Makers Initiative at the San Francisco Symphony from January 2011 to June 2016. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Education in Performance and Education from the Manhattan School of Music and Teachers College, Columbia University, respectively, earned between 1975 and 1981.
