Rhonda Simmons

Director Of Workforce Development & Cultural Diversity at San Francisco Department of Public Health

Rhonda Simmons, MSW, MPH, currently serves as the Director of Workforce Development & Cultural Diversity at the San Francisco Department of Public Health, a position held since January 2014. Prior to this role, Rhonda served as the Director of Workforce Development for the City and County of San Francisco from January 2006 to January 2014, and as Executive Director of the Seattle Jobs Initiative from January 2003 to January 2006, managing an organization with an annual budget of $4.5 million. Earlier in the career, Rhonda was the Director of Youth Substance Abuse Programs at the King County Department of Public Health, where significant contributions included collaboration on the Families and Education Levy and oversight of contracts for community-based organizations. Rhonda holds dual master's degrees in Social Work and Public Health from the University of Washington and is pursuing Liberal Arts with an emphasis in Public Administration at The Evergreen State College.
