Kevin Kumataka

Kevin Kumataka is a seasoned environmental professional with over a decade of experience in green business initiatives. Currently serving as the Green Business Coordinator at the San Francisco Department of the Environment since July 2016, Kevin has significantly advanced the Green Business Program by creating a three-tier recognition standard and managing statewide performance standards as chair of the California Green Business Network Performance Committee. Previous roles include Green Business Coordinator for Sonoma County, where responsibilities encompassed program oversight, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning. Kevin's background also includes project administration for an EPA grant focused on expanding green business access in disadvantaged communities, as well as various positions in environmental education and research. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Conservation Resource Studies from the University of California, Berkeley.
