April Sloan

Assistant Deputy Chief, Community Paramedicine Division at San Francisco Fire Department

April Sloan's work experience includes serving as an Operations Section Chief in the Community Paramedic Division at the San Francisco Fire Department, starting in December 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Paramedic Captain at the same department from January 2016 to December 2021. April was also a Board of Directors member at the International Public Safety Agency from March 2015 to February 2018. Before joining the San Francisco Fire Department, they worked as a Paramedic at SFFD from February 2007 to January 2016. Additionally, they served as an Investigator in the Office of the Medical Examiner at the San Francisco OME from March 2004 to February 2007. April's earlier experience includes working as a Paramedic at King-American Ambulance Company from April 2001 to February 2007, as a Paramedic/Firefighter at the City of Windham from June 2000 to January 2001, and as a Paramedic/Firefighter at Gorham Fire Department from January 1997 to January 2001.

April Sloan attended the New Hampshire Technical Institute from 1998 to 2000, where they obtained an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Emergency Medical Technology/Technician (EMT Paramedic).
