Richard Platt has extensive experience in emergency medical services, currently serving as a Community Paramedic and frequently acting as a Rescue Captain for the San Francisco Fire Department since July 2012. In this role, Richard supervises EMS and Community Paramedic operations, addresses behavioral health-related calls, and provides client care documentation. Previously, Richard worked as a paramedic in a dynamic ambulance setting within the same department and contributed to community health and safety initiatives. Prior experience includes business development with Praetorian Group, lead instruction at the San Francisco Paramedic Association, and clinical coordination at Fast Response, focusing on medical education and professional development. Richard's early career as a paramedic with American Medical Response involved emergency response and community safety education in Contra Costa County. Richard attended Diablo Valley College, where studies focused on general education and science prior to transferring.
