Diana Homsey

Chief Of Staff at San Francisco Fleet Week Association

Diana Homsey has a diverse work experience in emergency management and event planning. Diana started in 1999 as a Glacier Guide at Temsco Helicopters and later became an Expedition Coordinator for the Robert Swan Foundation - 2041 Antarctic Expeditions. In 2010, they joined the City and County of San Francisco Department of Emergency Management as an Emergency Services Coordinator, where they coordinated emergency services for special events and developed emergency action plans. Diana then worked as an Operations Manager and Program Director at the San Francisco Fleet Week Association from 2013 to 2017, managing logistics and planning for multiple events. In 2013, they also started working as an Emergency Operations Planner at the Port of San Francisco. From 2019 to 2022, they served as the Deputy Director of Homeland Security Emergency Management at the UCSF Police Department. Currently, they are the Chief of Staff at the San Francisco Fleet Week Association, and starting in 2022, they are also the Emergency Management Director at the San Francisco Public Works.

Diana Homsey attended Boston University from 1987 to 1991 and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science and Government. In addition to their degree, Diana has also obtained several certifications including Associate Emergency Manager from the International Association of Emergency Managers, HSEEP from Cal EMA, and ICS 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, 800, Operations Section Chief from FEMA.
