Jie Chen has significant experience in program management and youth development, currently serving as Manager of Program Support Operations at the Human Services Agency of the City and County of San Francisco since September 2015. Previously, Jie held multiple roles at the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, including High School Programs Manager, where a year-round job training program was developed for diverse high school interns, and Middle School/Urban Trail Blazers Manager, which focused on youth job training and leadership. Jie also contributed as an External Advisory Panel Member at the Foundation for Youth Investment, analyzing funding proposals for youth-serving organizations. Additionally, Jie initiated and developed the Inspiring Young Emerging Leaders program during an internship, which highlighted environmental justice issues through creative expression. Academically, Jie holds a B.A. in Environmental Economics and Policy, as well as Integrative Biology, from the University of California, Berkeley.
