Jessica Garcia

Jessica Garcia is an experienced transportation professional currently serving as the Service Planning Manager at the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) since June 2015. In this role, Jessica leads a team of transportation planners to develop and implement service plans across the Muni system, focusing on recovery and expansion in the post-COVID environment. Previous positions at SFMTA included Senior Transportation Planner, where Jessica led transit equity programs and policies, and Transportation Planner, where service changes were proposed based on performance metrics and community feedback. Earlier career experiences include roles at the US Department of Housing and Urban Development and community-focused internships, complemented by a Master of Science in Community and Regional Planning and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies and Raza Studies.
