Michael Rhodes

Michael Rhodes is an accomplished transportation planner with extensive experience in enhancing public transit systems. Currently serving as Transit Priority Manager at the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) since June 2015, Michael leads initiatives aimed at improving travel time, reliability, and safety for the city's bus and rail lines through the Muni Forward program. Previously, Michael worked as a Transportation Planner at SFMTA, focusing on capital projects for the Muni's Rapid Network, and as an Associate Planner at Nelson\Nygaard Consulting Associates, involving comprehensive transportation planning. Early career roles include a Transit Planning Intern and SFpark Intern at SFMTA, and a Streetsblog Reporter covering transit issues in San Francisco. Michael holds a Master's degree in City Planning with a concentration in Transportation from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor's degree in English and Philosophy from the University of Minnesota Morris.
