Vicente Romero de Avila Serrano

Vicente Romero de Avila Serrano, MURP, Ph.D., currently serves as a Transportation Planner at the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency since April 2022. Prior experience includes roles as a Planning Intern at the San Francisco County Transportation Authority and an Assistant Transportation Planner at the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, where significant contributions involved drafting strategic transportation documents and managing sustainable transportation programs. Extensive expertise encompasses urban planning, transportation demand management, active transportation research, and community engagement across various organizations, including the City of Ciudad Real and Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha. Vicente holds a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from UCLA and a Ph.D. in Territory, Infrastructures, and Environment from Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies and another in Geography.
