Jennifer Brost Sarnecki, AICP, has extensive experience in transportation planning, currently serving as the Deputy Chief Transportation Planner and previously as the Principal Transportation Planner at the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission since May 2017. Prior to this role, Jennifer worked at the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, holding positions as Statewide Planning Chief and Urban and Regional Planning Supervisor from August 2012 to April 2017. Jennifer's earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Regional Planner at the Southern California Association of Governments from April 2005 to August 2012 and as an Associate Planner at PCR Services from December 2002 to April 2005. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Community and Regional Planning from the University of Oregon (2000-2002) and a BA in International Relations and Environmental Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (1993-1997).

The Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (SEWRPC) is the official metropolitan planning organization (MPO) and regional planning commission (RPC) for the seven-county Southeastern Wisconsin Region. SEWRPC was created in 1960 to provide the basic information and planning services necessary to solve problems that transcend the corporate boundaries and fiscal capabilities of the local units of government comprising the Region. For nearly 60 years, SEWRPC has provided such information and planning services needed to solve problems and provide focus and attention on key issues of regional consequence.
