Ian Alexander Head

Ian Alexander Head is a Certified Law Clerk at the San Francisco Public Defender's Office since September 2023, following a role as a Summer Associate at Walkup, Melodia, Kelly & Schoenberger from June to September 2023. Previously, Ian served as a Judicial Extern in the Superior Court of California, County of San Francisco under Hon. Eric Fleming from January to May 2023. Ian's experience also includes two summer associate positions and a law clerk role at Walkup, Melodia, Kelly & Schoenberger from May 2022 to September 2023 and July 2019 to July 2021, respectively. Before entering the legal field, Ian worked as a Research Analyst at Jury-X, LLC from March to May 2019 and was a Division I student athlete at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from August 2015 to May 2019, where Ian earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Philosophy. Currently, Ian is pursuing a Juris Doctor at the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco, expected to graduate in 2024, following obtaining an International Baccalaureate Diploma from Whitgift School.
