Sierra Villaran possesses a diverse range of legal experience primarily within public defense and advocacy. Currently serving as a Deputy Public Defender at the San Francisco Public Defender's Office, Sierra has also held roles such as a Summer Law Clerk at the Western Center On Law and Poverty and a Spring Extern with the Los Angeles County Public Defender. Additional experience includes a position as a Summer Law Clerk for the Habeas Corpus Team at the California Appellate Project and a Judicial Administration Fellow at the Alameda County Superior Court. Academically, Sierra earned a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology from Princeton University and a law degree from USC Gould School of Law.
