Freya Channing is an experienced librarian with a robust background in special collections, archival processing, and library management. Currently serving as the Special Collections / Book Arts Librarian, Government Information Librarian, Circulation Librarian, and Library Page at the San Francisco Public Library since September 2015, Freya has developed a diverse skill set in library services. Previous roles include Rare Books Copy Cataloger and Archival Processing Assistant at Stanford University, Associate Consultant at bepress, and various positions in libraries and archives, including the Prelinger Library and the Digital Research Library at the University of Pittsburgh. Freya holds a Master of Library & Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Arts in Fine and Studio Arts from Mills College.
