Marisa Lee

Library Assistant at San Francisco Public Library

Marisa Lee is an experienced library and research professional currently serving as a Library Assistant at the San Francisco Public Library since October 2023. With a background as a Freelance Researcher and Consultant since July 2014, Marisa has contributed to significant projects, including serving as Senior Researcher for the PBS documentary “The Chinese Exclusion Act” and developing educational materials for various productions. Marisa previously held positions as a Library Assistant at San Mateo County Libraries and as an Archivist at The National Archives at San Francisco, where responsibilities included assisting researchers and developing finding aids. Marisa's earlier career includes administrative support at Urban Solutions, teaching English in Chile, and program coordination at the Chinese Historical Society of America. Marisa holds a Master of Library & Information Science from San Jose State University and a BA in American Studies and Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
