Miguel Hernandez

Miguel Hernandez, PE, is a seasoned civil engineer with over 17 years of experience in the engineering sector. Since December 2009, Miguel has served as the Streetscape Group Leader in the Bureau of Engineering at San Francisco Public Works. Prior to this role, Miguel worked at BKF Engineers from July 2006 to May 2009 as a Design Engineer, focusing on stormwater treatment area calculations to meet environmental compliance. Additional experience includes an internship at Anning Johnson Company, assisting in project management for a $13 million housing project at UCSF Mission Bay Campus, and a design internship at Siemens, where Miguel contributed to lifecycle testing of gantry drive-train systems for medical equipment. Miguel holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Davis, and a NABCEP Entry Level Photovoltaic Certification in Solar Design from the Solar Living Institute.
