Dan Miskie has worked in the architecture field since 1968, when they started their own business, Daniel Miskie, Architect. In 1974, they became a Professor of Architecture at Miami University, where they taught Design Studio, Urban Studies, Environmental Psychology, Architectural History, Construction Methods, and Financial Feasibility Analysis. In 1986, they moved to Formation Group as a Senior Analyst, where they analyzed prospective deals and packaged funding proposals for a real estate finance and investment bank. In 1988, they joined Spirit Development Company of Northern California as the Managing General Partner, where they played a lead role in land acquisition, entitlement, design, and construction management. In 2010, they co-founded San Franola, Inc., a healthy, high fiber, high protein, low carb. granola company. Finally, in 2018, they joined Bay Area Design as an Architect.
Dan Miskie has a Doctor of Philosophy in Environmental Design/Architecture from the Graduate School of Leadership and Change at Antioch University. Dan also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and a Master of Science in Urban Design from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
