John Brower

John Brower has extensive experience in library services, currently serving as the Head of Public Services at San Jacinto College since October 2011. Prior to this role, John managed multiple neighborhood libraries as Branch Manager at Houston Public Library from August 2008 to October 2011. John began a career in music librarianship at The Seattle Public Library from 1997 to 2008, contributing to the Arts, Recreation and Literature Department with responsibilities including general reference and collection development for Music, Theater, and Film. John's professional background also includes serving as a librarian for the music library association from 1996 to 2014. Educational qualifications include a Master of Library & Information Science from the University of Arizona (2004-2006) and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a focus on Cinema from Washington State University (1978-1980).
