Michelle Rivera

Michelle Rivera is a bilingual Air Quality Education Representative at the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District since February 2023, responsible for public education and community relations related to air quality. Prior experience includes serving as a bilingual Health Educator for the County of Fresno from July 2015 to February 2023, where responsibilities included supervising public health communication teams and managing the Rural Mobile Health Program. With over six years of experience in public relations and media management within the Fresno County Department of Public Health, Michelle has specialized in risk communications and emergency response. Earlier roles include managerial positions at CKE Restaurants, Inc. and Brander Enterprises Inc. Michelle holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from California State University, Fresno, and is currently pursuing an online certification in Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication at the University of Colorado Boulder.
