Zach McGrew

Zach McGrew has a diverse professional background in emergency services and hospitality. Currently serving as a Firefighter/Paramedic with the San José Fire Department since February 2023, Zach has also been a Paramedic with American Medical Response since April 2019, following roles as a 911 EMT. Prior experience includes working as a Sommelier at Forbes Mill Steakhouse and serving as a Volunteer Firefighter with the Santa Clara City Fire Department. Earlier roles also consist of EMT work for Silicon Valley Ambulance and interning with the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors under Supervisor Cindy Chavez. Educational credentials include studies in Political Science at multiple institutions, including Santa Clara University and Foothill College, supplemented by experience as a swim teacher/coach and lifeguard.
