Lillian Markind

Lillian Markind serves as the Executive Director and Interim Administrator at Or Shalom Jewish Community since August 2024, with prior experience as Administrator from June 2017 to December 2021. Involved with the San Mateo County Office of Education since December 2020 as a member of the County Committee on School District Organization, Lillian also held positions as a Board of Trustees member and President in the Brisbane School District from November 2016 to November 2024, contributing to the district's educational initiatives. Additional experience includes roles in education as a substitute teacher in the Brisbane School District and significant positions in the biotechnology field, including Senior Field Application Specialist at Affymetrix and Research Scientist at Cybergenetics. Lillian holds a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from the Rochester Institute of Technology and has been certified by CBEST since 2016.
