Melissa Jones

Melissa Jones, AICP, currently serves as the Deputy Director of Caltrain Policy at the San Mateo County Transit District, a position held since September 2016. With a robust background in urban planning, Melissa has progressed through various roles at Caltrain, including Principal Planner and Senior Planner. Prior experience includes working as an Associate and Urban Planner at Dyett & Bhatia and serving as a Planning Intern at both Harvard University and the City of East Palo Alto. Additionally, Melissa contributed as a Research Assistant at the Harvard Graduate School of Design and was a Fulbright Scholar with the Fulbright Commission. Melissa holds a Master of Urban Planning from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from Stanford University.
