Jessica Valera

Jessica Valera is an experienced education professional with a strong background in instructional technology and science education. Currently serving as the District Instructional Technology Coordinator for the San Mateo Union High School District since July 2020, Jessica previously held positions as a High School Science Teacher at Aragon High School and an Instructional Technology Coach at Knowing Technologies. Additionally, significant experience includes technology integration facilitation and teaching IB Biology at Escuela Campo Alegre. Jessica has contributed to the professional development of educators through presentations at various conferences, focusing on effective technology integration and engagement strategies. Jessica holds a Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
