Lara L. Montoya, MS, LMFT has a diverse work experience in the field of mental health. Lara L. started their career in 2014 as a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee at the Youth Services Bureau of South San Francisco. In 2015, they became a Commissioner for the San Mateo County Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Commission.

From 2015 to 2017, Lara worked at the YMCA of San Francisco as a Clinician/School Safety Advocate and later as a Program Manager for Victim Impact Awareness. Lara L. then joined the Edgewood Center for Children and Families as a Mental Health Clinician, where they worked from 2016 to 2018.
