David Tow has extensive experience as an educator, currently teaching various advanced English and humanities courses at San Rafael City Schools since August 2011. Prior roles include serving as a Teach PLUS California Teaching Policy Fellow and as a member of the Teacher Advisory Council for the National Humanities Center. In 2016, David Tow received a Fulbright Distinguished Award in Teaching to research civic, national, and global identity in Finland at the University of Helsinki. Previous teaching positions at San Dieguito High School Academy covered subjects such as English, Speech & Debate, and Creative Writing. David Tow is pursuing a Doctor of Education in International and Multicultural Education with a focus on Human Rights Education at the University of San Francisco, and has earned multiple graduate degrees in English Language and Literature, Cross-Cultural Education, and Philosophy.
