Antonia Dominguez

Senior Director, Cell Engineering at Sana Biotechnology

Antonia Dominguez has extensive work experience in the field of biotechnology and stem cell research. Antonia is currently employed at Sana Biotechnology, Inc. as a Senior Director of Cell Engineering. Prior to this role, they served as a Principal Scientist and a Senior Scientist at the same company. Antonia also worked as a Scientist at Sana Biotechnology from 2019 to 2020.

Before joining Sana Biotechnology, Antonia served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University from 2014 to 2019. During this time, they conducted research in the field of bioengineering and worked in the laboratory of Stanley Qi. Antonia also held a brief position as a Postdoctoral Fellow at UCSF in 2014.

Additionally, Antonia gained research experience as a Student Researcher at New Mexico State University from 2003 to 2007, working in the department of Chemistry and Biochemistry under the supervision of Dr. Glenn Kuehn. Antonia also completed summer programs as a student researcher at Harvard Medical School in 2005 and 2006.

Antonia Dominguez earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biochemistry from New Mexico State University from 2002 to 2006. Antonia then pursued further education at Stanford University School of Medicine, where they completed a Masters degree in Science in Medicine from 2007 to 2009. Antonia continued their studies at Stanford and obtained a PhD in Genetics from 2007 to 2013.
