Aidan Roy

Aidan Roy is a seasoned researcher in the field of machine learning and optimization, currently serving as a Staff Research Scientist at Sanctuary AI since August 2020, after previously holding roles as an Expert Research Scientist and Machine Learning Researcher. Prior experience includes a position as a Machine Learning Researcher at Sportlogiq from January to August 2020 and a significant tenure as an Algorithms Researcher at D-Wave Systems Inc. from October 2012 to December 2019, focusing on discrete optimization algorithms utilizing quantum annealing. Aidan also completed two post-doctoral fellowships at the University of Waterloo and the University of Calgary between 2006 and 2012. Aidan holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Waterloo, as well as a Master of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from the same institution and the University of Victoria, respectively.
