Jay Alcock has over 20 years of work experience in engineering and project management. In 2000, they began their career as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer for the Australian Army, where they worked on Sikorsky Blackhawk helicopters and associated equipment. In 2009, Jay moved to Textor Technologies as an Automation Engineer, where they worked on manufacturing non-woven textiles for the healthcare industry. In 2012, Jay became a Private Consultant, working as an Automation Systems Developer. In 2013, they joined Molson Coors as a Senior Manager Utilities Engineering and Execution, followed by roles as a Senior Project Engineer, Project Engineer, and Manufacturing Systems Specialist. In 2019, Jay moved to Viterra, where they were Manager Engineering and Project Management - Terminals. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Sanctuary AI as a Technical Project Manager - Hardware.
Jay Alcock has a diverse educational background. Jay has a Master of Engineering (MEng) from the University of Southern Queensland, a Bachelor of Engineering (Robotics & Mechatronics) (Hons.) from Swinburne University of Technology, a BE from James Cook University, a Cert. IV from TAFE NSW, Blackhawk Equipment Maintenance (Avionics) from RAMS, and a High School Certificate from Heatley Secondary College. Additionally, they have obtained a P.Eng. from EGBC.
